I have these all natural alfalfa cubes. And have a 3 month chin and since he eats alfalfa hay I don't no if these are considered treats or not. Can he have one a day or none till he's older.

Hay cubes, alfalfa or other are fine, they are just compressed hay. Some chins love them others don't though, so try one at a time to avoid waste until you know if he likes them or not. Also you do want to feed other hay not just alfalfa, they need the grass hay too, like timothy, unless you are feeding timothy based pellets. Alfalfa is a legume, like beans, not a grass, which is why it's so much higher in protein and calcium.

I feed him oxbow hay n oxbow chinchilla deluxe pellets made with hand selected alfalfa ...didn't no I had to feed other hay as well the lady just told me alfalfa not timothy untill he's older
