Hi all looking on a web site for treats for chinchillas and one of the treats is millet that you would use for birds is it right can you give that to them if so how much are they allowed i dont want to buy it if it can hurt them thankyou :wacko:

I had asked about millet before and was told it was not ok to give to chins.

I bite.
I had took in a rescue who was being fed bird food before I got her. She kept pooping out weird white balls and I finally came to realize that she was pooping out undigested millet- so definitely not a good idea.
