So, I was curious about them. I know HOW to boil and bake the woods and what woods are good to give my chinchillas. But is there anything else I should know?

Like, does it matter if the tree is dead? Do I need to take twigs off the tree, or can I get them from the ground?
 
You want to take green wood, not the dead part of the tree.

I have cottonwood, and cottonwood trees are notorious for dropping twigs. I will use the twigs that are freshly fallen and still green. You wouldn't want to use anything that's been sitting out on the ground for long or is no longer green inside.
 
Alrighty good to know. So fresh wood, must use fresh wood. ^__^
